Summary. This text works a hypothesis formulated by Christian Metz, but not developed, about six codes that form the underlying structures of meaning of cinema. This is to elucidate the potential pathways of film semiotics in order to understand no language joints languages \u200b\u200band / or audio visual media. To achieve this, we propose a change in perspective: analysis tool for messaging, semiotics is reconsidered as a study of communication sciences because the contributions of this new approach are conceptual and analytical prosemiĆ³tica in a less naive about the issues of human cognition and their relationship with systems of meaning beyond the natural language.
